The Classical Collab is Auckland’s Youth Dance Theatre. Our objective is to create, collaborate, and inspire.

The modern dancer is a versatile dancer.

We are a workshop-based performance company and create contemporary ballet productions for an Auckland audience. Our goal is to assist young dancers in the necessary exploration of contemporary ballet – a style that breathes new life into the traditional form.

We bring together local dancers, artists, musicians, and choreographers. Our creation process will always be collaborative, empowering our performers to join the choreographic process and giving them the opportunity to work alongside other young artists from a variety of art forms. We welcome guest choreographers, dancers and artists to join our productions.

We are inspired by the desire to create, and our performers will inspire their audience to further engage in the arts. Together we create a space for contemporary ballet to grow and thrive in New Zealand.
